New Water Project

Tektraco has secured several contracts to implement projects under the New Water initiative, launched by the Water Services Corporation for agricultural purposes. As part of this initiative, wastewater is thoroughly filtered before being distributed to farmers according to the specific requirements of their crops. To ensure precise allocation, effective communication is maintained between the central controller located in the Data Centre and the various dispensers positioned in the fields. This communication is enabled through GPON technology deployed over fiber optic infrastructure. The Tektraco team’s scope of work included the installation of armoured multi-core fibre optic cables beneath Malta’s public roads, the connection of dispensers to the network, and the procurement and configuration of active hardware.
