Tektraco brings TACERA to St James Capua Hospital

At Tektraco, we’ve been privileged to support St James Capua Hospital’s continuous modernisation for many years, designing and installing medical gas pipeline systems, bedhead units, and nurse-call solutions. AUSTCO has been our chosen partner from the outset of our work together: a reliable, robust brand that has consistently served clinicians and patients well. With the most recent refurbishment projects, we have begun installing AUSTCO’s more advanced TACERA platform and integrating it with the hospital’s existing operations.

TACERA is an upgrade on what’s already trusted. It brings an IP-based architecture that can add intelligence and streamline day-to-day care, with capabilities such as bedside two-way speech, mobile alerting with smart escalation, real-time location features for staff presence and duress, smart-bed integrations, rounding prompts, and real-time dashboards alongside standards-based interfaces like ADT/HL7 for seamless data flow.

Our first TACERA project at St James Capua, a full refurbishment of the second floor, has been successfully delivered, creating a cohesive, modern bedspace when combined with our bedhead units and medical gas pipeline installations. With this milestone in place, the direction is clear: future ward upgrades and refurbishments at St James Capua will move forward with TACERA, unlocking additional capabilities as and when the hospital chooses.
