We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Junior Network Engineer is responsible for coordinating and executing various Telecommunications and IT projects related to fibre optic and copper network installations, as well as other engineering projects. They will also handle the commissioning of telecom systems, provide technical sales demonstrations, mentor the support team, and stay updated on technological innovations in the field.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design information technology solutions for clients, considering their specific requirements and objectives.
  • Prepare offers for clients by producing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on the IT solutions designed, as well as technical proposals.
  • Understand client needs and provide technical expertise during pre-sales discussions and meetings.
  • Oversee the execution of quality assurance tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and compiling results into reports to present to clients.
  • Commission systems at customer sites, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Attend training and product familiarization courses locally and overseas as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Provide post-sales technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and skills to offer innovative and efficient solutions to clients.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified in Telecommunications and/or Networking, or similar fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in above fields would be preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in telecom technologies, networking, or related areas are advantageous.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in designing network systems and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance tests.
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Report writing skills for documenting project progress and technical findings.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Continuous learning mindset with a willingness to attend training and product familiarization courses.

Job Description

Tektraco Ltd is seeking to employ a ‘Laboratory Service Technician, reporting to the Head of Tektraco Lab Solutions.

Tektraco Lab Solutions is managed by highly qualified and motivated product specialists who, together with a team of experienced technicians and sales personnel, provide its clients with a complete approach to laboratory solutions.

 

𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

  • Servicing a range of laboratory equipment including calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance.
  • Installation, Training and commissioning of Lab Analytical Equipment.
    Updating of service reports.
  • Assisting in sales, i.e. generating offers for clients, and issuing purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Will be expected to assist in technical sales meetings
  • Research relevant new technologies and services to increase the company portfolio.
  • Occasional travel abroad is necessary at times for training.
  • Reporting to his superiors on a daily basis.

 

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

  • The ideal candidate should preferably have an MCAST / Fellenberg HTD diploma in industrial electronics or equivalent.
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Be proactive and multi-tasking.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have an excellent customer service attitude.
  • Flexible and eager to learn new technologies/processes.

 

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰:

  • experience on the installation & maintenance of laboratory analytical equipment
  • experience working with Lab instrumentation preferably within the Pharmaceutical industry
  • experience working as a Maintenance technician with a Supplier of Lab equipment.
