Tektraco Labs – Installation and commissioning of climatic and salt spray corrosion chambers

During the Covid-19 pandemic most companies were confronted with adapting to new ways of working amid stressors that have never been experienced before. Some of our projects were delayed and site visits were very limited.

However, we proudly battled these challenges and delivered the best services to our clients. A few of these projects involved installation and commissioning of climatic and salt spray corrosion chambers.

Clients opted to increase their range of existing chambers or start off a new system by commissioning Tektraco to install 60, 120 and 1000 litres climatic chambers, the 120L having extra equipment which could also dry air.

• A manufacturer of components which are used in various applications, opted for the 60L chamber to stress the components in different atmospheres. Our client visualised how their products react and how they can be improved accordingly.

• The 120L chamber was commissioned for calibration services . The precision of this unit was essential to certify other instruments.

• The 1000 L climate chamber measures 1.6 x 2.2 x 2.8 meters and weighs 1800 kg and the 1000l Salt spray chamber measures 1 x 1.5 x 4.5 meters and weighs around 700 kg. Both chambers are used for research and education purposes where reliability is essential.
